2024 Brighton/ Trinidad Kitchen

TTEA in collaboration with local ex-pats and Caribbean culinary specialists

In addition to staging events and being advocates for cultural diversification, we encourage the promotion of T&T local dishes and have an initiative set in motion from May 2024 showcasing Trinidad cuisine at its best.

Be some of the first ones to savour and participate in Brighton's only food outlet for original T&T dishes prepared from hands that bring that taste we all love and remember; Just like "granny used tuh make it"

Vaterstetten Grill Promotional Invite

This was the first year when friends and locals were invited to see how T&T food and culture would be accepted.

Needless to say it was a success and sparked an annual following which eventually evolved into the founding of the TTEA. The members continued in their attempts and we thank every 'day one' patron who has helped us to shape and in our evolution to the entity that we are and still aspire to be.

Nürnburg Afro-Caribbean Festival

Giving a taste of Trinidad to Nürnburg

After initially getting praise from locals and having represented in various events, we decided to take the show on the road and evaluate in an afro-Caribbean festival that is held annually in Germany.

Our Caribbean taste stood out from those of the other nationalities that participated and needless to say, we were very successful in our endeavours.

Europeans love the cuisine.

Berlin Carnival

"Guerilla Marketing involves hitting the streets"

Founding members have been involved with the Berlin Carnival which is held annually and hosts a list of local Calypso artists that have been invited to perform and headline since active participation in 2000.

One of the most memorable was when Bunji Garlin teased the crowd with a spontaneous performance that set the bar for acts to follow. There has since been an explosion of Carnival lovers from all over Europe and faithful street revellers who do their best to ensure that this event stays as memorable for those away from home as can be achieved.
